American Multi-Ethnic Coalition bestows Golden Eagle Award On Philanthropist Anil Loomba

CHICAGO IL: The Oscars Gala hosted by American Multi-Ethnic Coalition on Feb 19, 2022, was the glittering event that recognized the extraordinary work done by Anil Loomba, especially during the challenging time when Covid 19 was ravaging the world. Bestowing the Golden Eagle award on Anil Loomba, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle lauded him for his generosity and business acumen to accomplish timely delivery of oxygen cylinders and concentrators to hospitals in India that were struggling to serve the hundreds of thousands stricken with Covid. This was in addition to his and his family’s generous donations to United Punjabis of America toward its drive for Chicago area food banks and food pantries. Among the many dignitaries at the Gala were US Congressman Danny Davis, US Congressman Bill Foster, and US Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi.

These noble actions by Loomba came as no surprise to those who have followed his meteoric rise in the business world with a parallel increase in his support for charities in the US as well as in India.

Loomba left a successful career in corporate finance to start his own business and established Home Mortgage Solutions, Inc. in 2001. Over the years, he has built a powerful team that is recognized as a leader in the home finance industry. HMSI recently opened an office in Texas where Mr. Loomba has plans to transform this industry, just as he has done in Illinois.

Loomba credits his success to the values instilled in him by his parents, both teachers, who modeled hard work and service to the community throughout their lives. “My mother, Malti Loomba, was the director of schools in the state of Punjab in India. After my father’s untimely death, my mother kept our family together and strong. Her strength is my daily inspiration,” he said. Mr. Loomba’s philanthropic work is wholeheartedly encouraged and supported by his wife, Sweety.

The Loombas provides support to numerous organizations. “I’m truly humbled by this recognition by AMEC,” said Loomba. “Over the years, I have been fortunate to be able to assist in many noble causes. To be recognized for this work gives me further impetus to work even harder so that I can continue my service to those in need as well as in India.”
