- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s leadership ideal for the world, says Scindia
- Scindia promised his support for Shivsrushti after visiting the project in Ambegaon
PUNE: Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia paid glorious tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj saying his leadership was ideal for the world and promised unabated support to the Shivsrushti project.
“Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had leadership qualities to take along people from various religions and communities and this is an ideal example for the world,” Scindia said.
“The Shivsrushti project which is coming up will showcase the inspirational history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for today’s youth,” Scindia said after inspecting the upcoming ‘Shivsrushti’ project in Ambegaon on Friday, September 2. The Shivsrushti project of the Maharaja Shivchatrapati Pratishthan Trust is coming up on 21 acres of land. Trustees Arvind Khaladkar, Sunil Mutalik, and Vineet Kuber were present on the occasion. A short film about how the project would come up was also shown.
Being effusive in his praise for the 17th century Maratha Warrior King, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Scindia on the occasion assured his full support for the Shivsrushti project.
“The Marathas have a golden history. The idea of a nation first came up in the Maratha regime. It is a very emotional moment for me to be here amongst you” Scindia said while paying rich tributes to the late Babasaheb Purandare while recollecting that the historian spent every moment of his entire life ensuring that Shivaji’s work reached the masses.
“There is one more reason for me to be emotional. Chhatrapati Shivaji is ideal for all those who possess patriotic feelings” Scindia said.
Scindia also recalled the work done by Shivaji Maharaj for the Army, and Navy and said Indian Navy’s new ensign was based on his Rajmudra.
The Union Minister also proudly remembered the contributions made by ‘Sarsenapati’ Mahadji Shinde.
