Selected for the ‘10000 Women’ initiative of Goldman Sachs, Devyani taking business lessons at IIM-Bangalore
PUNE: Impressed by the work done by Pune-based engineer-turned-young entrepreneur Devyani M through her start-up ‘Yoga Urja’, leading American financial firm Goldman Sachs has selected her for their prestigious ‘10000 Women’, an initiative to empower businesswomen across the globe.
As part of the initiative, Devyani, who is providing succor to the ever-stressful corporate sector through Yoga, is now taking lessons about business management at the Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore.
Goldman Sachs provides education opportunities and access to capital that women entrepreneurs need to grow their businesses through the initiative.
Devyani got selected for this three-month initiative, which started in August after undergoing three-four rigorous rounds of examination and an interview. The initiative focuses on imparting lessons on business models, strategies, and mentorship and there are various tasks that the entrepreneur needs to perform.
“Participating in this program has been immensely beneficial for me and it will provide a great boost to my Yoga start-up. It is a moment of pride for me to take lessons from the best in business. I wholeheartedly thank IIM Bangalore and NSRCEL” says Devyani.
Post the program, Devyani, who was a national-level athlete, intends to integrate technology with Yoga and health.
