Puravankara Invests in the Youth; Introduces its Scholarship Programme in Pune through Vidyasaarathi

PUNE: In line with its vision for an equitable future, Puravankara Limited has partnered with ‘Vidyasaarathi’, the online scholarship platform by Protean eGov Technologies Limited (formerly known as NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited). The Puravankara Scholarship Programme has been extended to 24 students across 9 engineering colleges in Pune, Maharashtra. Through this initiative, Puravankara intends to support students pursuing higher education.

Apart from their academic performance, the eligibility criteria included students whose annual family income is less than Rs.5 lakhs. Students with a single parent or whose families were affected by Covid-19 were given special preference. A cumulative amount of Rs.10 lakhs has been disbursed through the scholarship and will continue to be disbursed every year.

Commenting on the scholarship program, Amanda Puravankara, Executive Director, Puravankara Group, said,

“We have a long-standing commitment to making education accessible, especially to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. We strongly believe that through the Puravankara Scholarship, we are taking a step towards increasing their employability and securing their future. In its bid to make education financing more seamless and accessible for students across India, Protean eGov Technologies Limited has set up Vidyasaarathi, a technology-driven platform. It manages the entire scholarship lifecycle, including validating the applications, award of scholarships, and disbursement of funds.
