The Gandhian Society has decided to work with Indian Based NGO JanVikas on the healthcare sector in India and help rural people with healthcare. The Gandhian Society held a meeting with Kirti Joshi (CEO JanVikas) in southern New Jersey at the House of Magan Patel.
The meeting was attended by most members of the Gandhian Society to understand the areas of work in which JanVikas operates in helping rural people with better Healthcare and also to interact with the visiting CEO of JanVikas. JanVikas trains equip and help the rural people to become self-equipped with better health facilities and trains local people to become health care workers and also promotes gainful employment in rural areas. It works with over 240 organizations in providing useful services in rural India.
The Gandhian Society donated one Ambulance thru its donor – Magan Patel to JanVikas and intends to partner with JanVikas in taking up many initiatives in rural India. Gandhian Society Founder Bhadra Butala expressed his happiness over the proposed partnership and hoped that Gandhi Ji’s vision of serving the rural areas will be achieved further by working with organizations like JanVikas. Kirti Joshi thanked the Gandhian Society and its members for the support and hoped that with such partnerships, her work in serving the poor and underprivileged will be enhanced. The meeting ended with a dinner hosted by Magan Patel at his house.
