Sony Marathi Channel launches New Serial Gatha Navnathanchi

from June 21, Monday – Saturday at 6.30 pm

PUNE: The ‘Nath Sampraday (sect)’ is spread across Maharashtra on a large scale but no television serial was made about it. Now for the first time ever in television history, Sony Marathi has come up with a serial on Navnath. The TV serial ‘Gatha Navnathanchi’ will be broadcast on the Sony Marathi channel from June 21. People can watch the show at 6.30 pm from Monday to Saturday.

When the demons or bad powers started overpowering the human race during the Kalyug, Navnarayan took birth as Nanvath for the welfare of mankind. People can see the stories of Navnath which they have heard or read till date, in this serial. Though the story of the birth of Macchindranath is well-known, most of the people do not have information about his childhood. People will see his childhood and upbringing in this serial. The team of the serial has made detailed study for it. The serial will take the greatness of Navnath to each and every household in Maharashtra.

This is a mythological serial and the attire of the artists; the background and the sets will be grand and traditional accordingly. Making such a mythological serial is a challenging task and VFX technology will be used for some scenes. VFX technology is not used frequently in Marathi television industry and therefore, use of VFX effects will be an important feature of the serial.
