Deputy CM Maharashtra Ajit Pawar Inaugurates Anganwadi, Baramati built by Sonalika CSR

BARAMATI: India’s fastest growing tractor brand, Sonalika Tractors has always been at the forefront in delivering farm prosperity and remains committed to build a healthy society in the country. With its CSR initiative, the company has built an Anganwadi in Malegaon, Baramati, District Pune which will combat child hunger and malnutrition while offering basic child care facilities across villages in the area.

Childcare is an area of great concern in all developing countries and India is no different. Children in India lack access to basic amenities like nutritious food, healthcare, and affection, thus require serious attention as well as efforts, especially in rural areas. Sonalika CSR is fully engaged in various initiatives that are aimed at introducing significant and sustainable changes in society.

Speaking on the inauguration, Honourable Deputy CM Maharashtra, Mr. Ajit Pawar said, “Building infrastructure is the need of the hour, and such initiatives like the Anganwadi will not only enhance much-needed facilities in child care but also empower the nation in growing faster. I am glad to see Sonalika CSR has taken this initiative of building an Anganwadi in Malegaon, Baramati, District Pune. I am sure this Anganwadi will bring many positive changes in the lives of villagers around this area.”

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Surbhi Mittal, Director- Sonalika CSR said, “Sonalika CSR fully understands the importance of building a sustainable future for our society. Keeping this in mind, Sonalika CSR has undertaken various initiatives to enhance child care facilities across rural India. To start, we have built an Anganwadi at Malegaon, Baramati, District Pune that will provide children with their birthright facilities and will be also equipped to handle primary birth related-issues. Malegaon will be acting as a model for offering the best facilities when it comes to childcare, nutrition, non-formal pre-education, immunization, health check-up, and referral services through this Anganwadi.
